Shell Road

Situated on a steep hill, with the ground sloping away steeply to the rear the house had a difficult relationship with the rear garden which was at a lower level and the rooms on the ground floor did not make the most of the available views. The new extension created a link between the garden and the existing house, celebrating the height differences and views. Because

the height of the new kitchen was level with the canopy of the trees in the garden the kitchen feels like a luxury tree house.
